28 Feb 2023 Ralph Hammond Bedford TV Writing Project Feb 28, 2023 12:30 PM At the Rotary Winter Community Breakfast Celebration, our club introduced the concept of Building a Culture of Writing in Bedford. Part of student writing stories is to add to the BRIC2 production classes a student script writing program. To begin this we need students beginning in grade three to get good at story writing. In partnership with Rotary, Bedford TV, and The Bedford Citizen News. and active peer writing community-wide program can be developed.
07 Mar 2023 Rotarian Carl Mann Rotary - Peace Corps strategic partnership Mar 07, 2023 12:30 PM Cal Mann is a member of Rotary eClub of Silicon Valley who spent the past five years with Peace Corps. He recently retired from the Peace Corps team at headquarters in Washington, D.C. Originally from Washington State, Cal has two adult sons and has been in Rotary since 2003. Prior to Peace Corps, Cal worked had a career as an industrial design consultant to household brands like Johnson & Johnson, Kraft, Frito-Lay, M&M/Mars, Starbucks, and others. He worked for Apple for seven years where he trained employees and customers on software and hardware. His interests include photography, youth leadership development, history, innovation, and entrepreneurship (social & commercial). Topic: The Rotary - Peace Corps Partnership "Cal will share his two-year experience as a Rotarian and volunteer leader for Peace Corps North Macedonia. His presentation will focus on the Rotary - Peace Corps Strategic Partnership and the good results of Rotary, Rotaract and Peace Corps collaboration in Eastern Europe.”
