Another incredible day of service and community spirit marked the latest Hope for the Hungry meal packing event on Saturday, March 21. With more than 120 dedicated volunteers, joined by over 20 enthusiastic Rotarians, the event was a resounding success, resulting in over 27,000 meals packed for distribution through the Merrimack Valley Food Bank.

The energy in the room was contagious from start to finish. Upbeat music set the tone as teams worked side by side, fueled by a little friendly competition and a shared commitment to making a difference. Laughter, teamwork, and a strong sense of purpose filled the space, proving once again that doing good can also be a lot of fun.

A special thank you to St. Paul's Episcopal Church for its generous financial support and strong volunteer presence, which helped make the event possible. Their commitment to the cause continues to have a meaningful impact.

We were also thrilled to have SAAB sponsor a packing table, bringing three full tables of volunteers across generations. Their participation highlighted the power of corporate community engagement.
The event showcased a wonderful mix of community groups, including two Girl Scout troops, the BHS BEST Buddies program, and the high school Interact Club. Additional support came from members of the local Baptist Church, as well as families and individuals who generously gave their time and energy. Every participant played an important role, and every contribution mattered.

We are very thankful also to our other sponsors: Bedford Food Pantry, DVSN Inc., CBiz, Salem 5, Ken's Deli, Diane Cadogon Hughes of Barrett Sothebys, Rockland Trust, Debi Malone, and Linda & Frank Cargiuolo. Thanks also to everyone who came out to support our fundraiser at Ken's Deli.

In addition to packing meals, volunteers also supported a personal care item collection for the MCC Food Pantry. Thanks to the generosity of those in attendance, the collection was a great success and will help meet essential needs in the community.

Events like these are a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when people come together with a shared purpose. The March 21 Hope for the Hungry event not only provided thousands of meals to those in need but also strengthened the bonds of a caring and compassionate community
