We were thrilled to welcome District Governor Johnny Ahearn to our club this week! Johnny’s visit was filled with energy, inspiration, and plenty of Rotary spirit.
After the meeting, Johnny shared his enthusiasm, saying:
“Today’s visit brought me to the ‘Best Club’ in Rotary District 7910! The Rotary Club of Bedford was selected as the 2024–2025 Club of the Year and keeper of the District Bell! It was so good to see everyone and hear about the plethora of events that they have coming.”
During his talk, Johnny highlighted the importance of collaboration — not only among Rotary clubs, but also with local organizations and community partners. This message ties beautifully into this year’s Rotary International Presidential theme: “Unite for Good.” He commended our club for already putting that message into action through our many community projects and partnerships.
Johnny also reminded us about the Polio Plus Society and the upcoming World Polio Day on October 25, encouraging everyone to continue supporting Rotary’s effort to end polio for good.
