Starting this fall, the Rotary Club of Bedford is excited to launch a new tradition — the Bedford Community Dinners!

These free monthly meals are open to everyone and will take place on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 5:30–6:30 PM at First Church of Christ, Upper Fellowship Hall (25 The Great Road, Bedford).

The very first dinner will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 — and you’re invited!

But we’re not just inviting you to eat. We’re also inviting you to be part of what makes this special.

What Are Bedford Community Dinners?
More than just a meal, these dinners are about connection, community, and kindness. Inspired by the pre-COVID meals once hosted by the Bedford Food Pantry, we’re picking up the spirit of those gatherings and giving it new life.

Whether you come for the food, the company, or to lend a hand, you’ll find a warm welcome and a seat at the table.

We’re currently looking for volunteers to help make the first dinner — and all future ones — a success. It’s a simple, rewarding way to give back and connect with others.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Set-Up: help with tables, chairs, and serving areas (between 3:00-4:30)
  • Serving: Greet guests, plate meals, or help with drinks and desserts (between 5:00-6:30 pm)
  • Clean-Up: Stay a bit afterward to tidy up and pack things away (6:00-7:00)
  • Meal prep: help prepare the meal (3-6 pm)

There are also opportunities to help with meal planning, shopping for food, and helping with promotions if you are not available on Wednesday afternoons. Please reach out to bedford.rotary@gmail.com, letting us know if you would like to be part of the team!

Whether you’ve got 30 minutes or a few hours, there’s a way to help. Bring a friend, bring your teen, or come solo — we promise you’ll feel right at home.
