On July 8, the Rotary Club of Bedford gathered for its annual Leadership Changeover and Installation Night—an evening full of celebration, appreciation, and looking ahead to the new Rotary year.
We said a big thank-you to outgoing President Al Roscoe, who led the club through a great year of service projects, community programs, and strong partnerships. In his final remarks, Al reflected on the teamwork that made it all possible and thanked members for their support and dedication.
The club welcomed new Co-Presidents Tom Pinney and Paula Gilarde, who officially stepped into their roles for the 2025–2026 Rotary year. We were thrilled to have District Governor Johnny Ahearn join us and take part in the installation. Tom shared their hopes for the year ahead—building deeper connections in the community, supporting meaningful local and global projects, and finding more ways for members to get involved and make a difference.

The night also included a chance to recognize a few of our outstanding members. Marc Hamilton was named Rotarian of the Year for everything he does behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. Joe Richard received a special Service Award for always stepping up—quietly, reliably, and with true dedication to the club.

We wrapped up the night with a delicious meal and great conversation. Huge thanks to the Installation Committee—Christine Pinney, Diana Jarvis, and Sze-Wen Kuo—for organizing a lovely evening, and to Victor Tom for creating and sharing the videos that helped us reflect on the year. An extra special thank you to Pam Brown for hosting us, and on her birthday no less!
With fresh leadership and a strong team spirit, we’re excited to keep the momentum going and continue living out our motto: Service Above Self.
