Last week we had some extra special guests. Our club had 5 Past, Current or Future District Governors attend our meeting!
First we welcomed Milan W Jackson, PDG, (and former member of the Bedford Club). Milan spoke to us about the Rotary Foundation. Following his presentation, Bob Cassidy made two Paul Harris presentations - one to his son and another to his neighbors.
Milan W Jackson, a Paul Harris Fellow and Major Donor, has been a Rotarian for 38 years. He joined the Rotary in the Philippines in 1984 before joining the Bedford Rotary in 1987 where he served as our President in 1996-97. While in Bedford, Milan also served on the District Youth Exchange and Gift of Life Boards of Directors. He also served as the District Conference Coordinator for our own Bob Cassidy when he was District Governor in 1997-98.
Upon retirement, Milan moved on to the Cobleskill Rotary Club in 2012, switching from District 7910 to District 7190. Milan continued his connection with Youth and with the Gift of Life, but added District Governor to his resume in 2015-16.
