Our first in-person meeting following the summer break was a memorable one, highlighted by a fantastic turnout from our members and an inspiring visit from District Governor Penny Hamel on September 1.
DG Penny shared the wonderful news that our club officially earned the Rotary International Club Excellence Award for the 2025–2026 Rotary year.
During her presentation, District Governor Penny outlined her vision and initiative for the year. A key highlight of her plans for District 7910 includes covering the full cost of a peace pole for every club. Tom is already hard at work securing ours, so the only step remaining is deciding the perfect location to plant it!
Tom also had the chance to sign the 2026–27 Rotary banner displaying this year's vision to "Create Lasting Impact," led by RI President Olayinka Babalola and DG Penny Hamel.
